Omanyte

Omanyte is a dual Rock/Water-type Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is known for its distinctive spiral shell and tentacled body, resembling an ancient ammonite. Omanyte is among the first Fossil Pokémon players can revive in the games, typically from the Helix Fossil. It evolves into Omastar starting at level 40. In the games, Omanyte is often found in areas where fossils can be revived, such as the Pokémon Lab on Cinnabar Island. Its natural habitat, before its extinction, would have been ancient seas, where it likely preyed on smaller organisms. Its shell provided protection from predators. In the anime, Omanyte and Omastar appear in various episodes, often showcasing their ancient origins and the process of their revival. They are also notable for their role in the "Lord Helix" meme, a cultural phenomenon within the Pokémon community that elevates the Helix Fossil and Omanyte to a deity-like status. This cultural significance has cemented Omanyte's place in the hearts of many fans, making it one of the more recognizable Fossil Pokémon. Its type combination gives it resistances to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Normal attacks, but also weaknesses to Electric, Grass, and Fighting types.
