Omanyte

Omanyte is a Water-type Fossil Pokémon, first introduced in Generation I. It is revived from the Helix Fossil, an ancient artifact found in the Kanto region. As a prehistoric creature, Omanyte represents a fascinating link to the Pokémon world's past, resembling an ammonite with its distinctive spiral shell. Its diet would have consisted primarily of plankton and other tiny marine organisms, which it would filter from the water using its numerous tentacles. In the games, Omanyte evolves into Omastar when it reaches level 40. Its unique origin story, requiring players to choose between the Helix Fossil and the Dome Fossil (which revives Kabuto), made it a memorable part of the original Pokémon Red and Blue experience. Omanyte's gentle, drifting nature is often contrasted with its evolved form's more aggressive appearance.
