Kakuna

Kakuna is a Bug/Poison-type Pokémon, introduced in Generation I, known for its cocoon-like stage in the evolution line of Weedle. As the middle stage between the larval Weedle and the formidable Beedrill, Kakuna is often found in forests and wooded areas, typically clinging to trees as it undergoes its metamorphosis. During this stage, it is largely immobile, focusing all its energy on evolving, though it can still sting if threatened. Its diet is non-existent as it does not feed during this evolutionary phase, instead relying on nutrients stored from its Weedle stage. In the games, Kakuna is often encountered early on, providing a challenge for new trainers due to its defensive nature. In the anime, Ash's capture of a Weedle and its subsequent evolution into Kakuna, then Beedrill, highlighted the rapid and sometimes perilous journey of Pokémon evolution.
