Ho-Oh is a majestic Fire/Flying-type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation II, revered as the guardian of the skies and the bringer of rainbows. Ho-Oh is also famously linked to the creation of the Legendary beasts Raikou, Entei, and Suicune, which it resurrected from the burned Ecruteak City's Brass Tower. In the games, Ho-Oh is the mascot of Pokémon Gold Version and HeartGold Version. In the anime, it was the very first Legendary Pokémon Ash Ketchum ever saw, appearing in the first episode, a significant moment that foreshadowed his journey.
