Hoothoot

Hoothoot is a dual Normal/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II, making its debut in the Johto region. Known as the Owl Pokémon, Hoothoot is easily recognizable by its large, clock-like eyes and the single leg it typically stands on. It is said to possess an internal clock that allows it to keep perfect time, a trait often highlighted in its Pokédex entries and in the Pokémon anime. Hoothoot evolves into Noctowl starting at level 20. In the wild, Hoothoot are nocturnal creatures, typically found in forests and woodlands where they hunt for small insects and berries. Their natural habitat spans across many regions, from Johto to Galar, adapting to various forested environments. In the games, Hoothoot often appears early on, serving as an accessible Flying-type for players. Ash Ketchum famously caught a Hoothoot in the anime, showcasing its cleverness and ability to navigate by its internal sense of time. Its type combination gives it resistances to Grass and Bug, but a weakness to Rock, Electric, and Ice attacks. Hoothoot's distinctive appearance and unique time-keeping ability have made it a memorable figure among early Pokémon, embodying a simple yet charming aspect of the Pokémon world. Its evolution, Noctowl, gains significant popularity, often seen as a wise and powerful avian Pokémon.
