Poliwag

Poliwag is a Water-type Tadpole Pokémon introduced in Generation I, known for its distinctive spiral belly and large eyes. It evolves into Poliwhirl starting at level 25, which then evolves into Poliwrath with a Water Stone, or Politoed when traded holding a King's Rock. Poliwag typically inhabits freshwater environments like ponds, rivers, and lakes, where it lives a largely aquatic life. Its diet primarily consists of small aquatic organisms. In the wild, Poliwag are often seen swimming gracefully, and their skin is very thin, allowing them to be seen through. This transparency is said to be how their internal organs, including their spiral guts, are visible. Poliwag plays a significant role in the early games as a common encounter in water bodies, and it has appeared frequently in the Pokémon anime, often depicted as a friendly and somewhat timid creature. Its unique design and evolution line make it a memorable part of the original 151 Pokémon.
