Mudkip

Mudkip is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III as one of the three starter Pokémon of the Hoenn region, alongside Treecko and Torchic. It evolves into Marshtomp at level 16, which then evolves into Swampert at level 36. Mudkip is known for its large head fin, which acts as a highly sensitive radar, allowing it to detect movements in water and air. Its gills allow it to breathe underwater, while its powerful tail propels it through water. On land, it can lift large boulders by digging its feet into the ground to anchor itself. Mudkip are generally docile and thrive in swamps and marshes, where they spend their days playing in the mud. Its charming appearance and role as a starter Pokémon have made it a fan favorite, deeply ingrained in the cultural significance of the Pokémon franchise, appearing prominently in the anime as Brock's companion and in various spin-off games. Its Water typing gives it an advantage over Fire, Ground, and Rock types, while being vulnerable to Grass and Electric attacks.
