Morpeko, the Two-Sided Pokémon, is a unique Electric/Dark-type introduced in Generation VIII with the Galar region. It possesses a distinctive ability called Hunger Switch, which alters its appearance and type of attack depending on whether it is Full Belly Mode (Electric) or Hangry Mode (Dark). This physiological quirk is directly tied to its diet and energy levels; Morpeko is almost constantly eating berry seeds to maintain its energy, and if it goes too long without food, it becomes extremely aggressive and its fur changes color. Its natural habitat includes grassy areas and forests where it can forage for food. Morpeko does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon, standing as a singular evolutionary line. In the games, it's known for its signature move Aura Wheel, which changes type based on its current mode. In the anime, Morpeko plays a significant role as Marnie's partner Pokémon, showcasing its dual nature and mischievous personality. Its hungry antics and sudden mood swings have made it a fan favorite, embodying a relatable struggle with hunger and temper.
