Lickitung

Lickitung is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, known for its distinctive, extremely long tongue. This unique appendage, which is twice the length of its body, is central to its identity, both in its name and its abilities. Lickitung uses its tongue for various purposes, from exploring its surroundings and catching prey to defending itself by coating foes in a paralyzing, sticky saliva. It has a rather round, pink body and small, almost vestigial arms and legs, emphasizing its tongue as its primary feature. Lickitung does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon in Generation I, but later generations introduced Lickilicky as its evolution. In the anime, Lickitung is notably owned by Jessie of Team Rocket for a period, highlighting its quirky nature and sometimes clumsy but effective tongue-based attacks. Its presence often provides comic relief, showcasing its insatiable appetite and playful, albeit sometimes mischievous, personality. Its unique design and memorable appearance contribute to its cultural significance as one of the original 151 Pokémon.
