Lickitung is a Normal-type Pokémon first introduced in Generation I, known for its distinctive and extraordinarily long tongue, which can extend up to seven feet. This tongue is not only its primary tool for eating but also its main weapon and sensory organ, capable of manipulating objects, tasting everything in its surroundings, and even paralyzing foes with its sticky saliva. Lickitung typically inhabits grasslands and forests, where it uses its tongue to catch insects and other small prey, often leaving a trail of sticky slobber in its wake. In the core series games, Lickitung evolves into Lickilicky when leveled up while knowing the move Rollout, an evolution introduced in Generation IV. Its unique design and peculiar behavior have made it a memorable character in the Pokémon anime, often appearing in comical situations due to its tongue-related antics. Culturally, Lickitung embodies the whimsical and sometimes bizarre aspects of early Pokémon designs, standing out as a creature defined by a single, exaggerated physical trait.
