When its life comes to an end, it absorbs the life energy of all living things and turns into a cocoon itself. Its natural habitat is not a specific region, but rather it is said to slumber in a mountainous area for a millennium, only to awaken when its energy is needed or when it senses an imbalance in the world. Yveltal’s diet consists of the life energy it drains, a process that can leave landscapes barren. In the games, Yveltal plays a central role in Pokémon Y, where it is the version's mascot and a key figure in Team Flare’s plot to create a new world. Its striking design, reminiscent of the letter 'Y', and its formidable power make it a fan favorite and a significant figure in the Pokémon lore, symbolizing destruction and rebirth.
