Yveltal is the Destruction Pokémon, a Dark/Flying type Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VI with the release of Pokémon X and Y. It is one of the two main legendary Pokémon of the Kalos region, alongside Xerneas, and is known for its ability to absorb the life force of other creatures. When Yveltal's life comes to an end, it is said to absorb all life from the region it inhabits, turning into a cocoon to sleep for a thousand years. This makes it a formidable and somewhat terrifying figure in Pokémon lore, representing the cycle of death and rebirth. Its signature move, Oblivion Wing, drains HP from its opponent, perfectly encapsulating its life-draining nature. In the anime, Yveltal played a significant role in the movie "Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction," where its destructive power was a central plot point.
