Togepi, the Spike Ball Pokémon, is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is renowned for its egg-like appearance, with its head barely emerging from its shell, adorned with distinct red and blue patterns. Togepi is a pre-evolution of Togetic and eventually Togekiss, evolving through friendship, a mechanic introduced in the same generation. In the anime, Misty's Togepi became an iconic companion, often seen carried in her arms, and its innocent yet powerful Metronome moves frequently led to unpredictable and humorous situations. Togepi's gentle nature and association with good luck have made it a beloved character, symbolizing new beginnings and purity. Its type matchups are relatively straightforward, being weak to Fighting-type attacks but resistant to Ghost-type, reflecting its spiritual yet delicate nature.
