Simisear, the Ember Pokémon, is a Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It evolves from Pansear when exposed to a Fire Stone. Simisear is characterized by its fiery red fur and the flame-like tufts of hair on its head and tail, which intensify when it gets excited. These Pokémon are often found in volcanic regions or warm climates, where they can readily access the heat they need to maintain their body temperature and powers. Simisear are known for their playful and energetic nature, often engaging in fiery displays to communicate or express joy. In the Pokémon games, Simisear, along with Simisage and Simipour, are part of a trio of elemental monkeys that are given to players depending on their starter Pokémon. In the anime, Cilan, one of Ash's companions in the Unova region, owns a Simisear, showcasing its personality and battle capabilities. Their design is based on the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" monkeys, with Simisear representing "hear no evil" due to its large ears, although this interpretation is more commonly associated with its pre-evolution, Pansear. Simisear's role in the Pokémon world often highlights themes of elemental balance and teamwork when paired with its counterparts.
