Shuppet is a Ghost-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, first appearing in the Hoenn region. Known as the Puppet Pokémon, it is said to feed on feelings of envy and resentment, lingering in places where such emotions are abundant. Shuppet evolves into Banette starting at level 37. In the games, Shuppet is typically found in haunted mansions, cemeteries, or during nighttime, reflecting its ghostly nature. Its evolution, Banette, is known for being a doll discarded by its owner, seeking the child who abandoned it, adding a layer of melancholy to its lore. Shuppet and Banette play minor roles in the Pokémon anime, often appearing in episodes that explore haunted locations or the mysteries of Ghost-type Pokémon. Their unique ability to absorb negative emotions makes them intriguing figures in the Pokémon world, highlighting themes of human emotion and supernatural phenomena. As Ghost-type Pokémon, they are strong against Psychic and Ghost types, but weak against other Ghost and Dark types.
