Shroomish

Shroomish is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, first appearing in the Hoenn region games, *Pokémon Ruby* and *Sapphire*. Known as the Mushroom Pokémon, Shroomish typically inhabits dense forests and damp environments, preferring areas with rich soil and ample moisture. Its diet primarily consists of nutrients absorbed from the forest floor, aiding in its growth and the development of its spores. Shroomish is generally timid and reclusive, often hiding among fallen leaves or under larger mushrooms to avoid detection. When sensing danger, it scatters toxic spores from the top of its head, a defense mechanism that can cause sneezing and allergic reactions in those who inhale them. This behavior is reflected in its Pokédex entries across various games. Shroomish evolves into Breloom, a Grass/Fighting-type Pokémon, upon reaching level 23. In the anime, Shroomish has made several appearances, often depicted as a peaceful forest dweller, though capable of defending itself when provoked. Its unique mushroom-like design and evolutionary line make it a memorable early-game Grass-type for many trainers.
