Pupitar is a Rock/Ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation II, making its debut in the Johto region games, Pokémon Gold and Silver. It is the larval stage of the formidable pseudo-legendary Tyranitar, evolving from Larvitar at level 30 and then into Tyranitar at level 55. This armored Pokémon is known for its incredibly tough, stone-like shell, which is said to be as hard as bedrock. Pupitar's diet consists mainly of mineral-rich soil and rocks, which it grinds down to strengthen its already robust body.
