Phanpy is the adorable, playful, and surprisingly strong Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Known for its distinctive blue-grey hide, large ears, and short trunk, Phanpy is a pre-evolution of Donphan. It typically inhabits forests and mountainous regions, where it can often be seen rolling around, using its sturdy body and trunk to playfully charge at anything it encounters. Phanpy's diet primarily consists of berries and roots, which it unearths with its trunk. In the Pokémon anime, Ash Ketchum famously caught a Phanpy that later evolved into a powerful Donphan, showcasing its loyal and spirited nature.
