Omastar is a dual Water/Rock-type Fossil Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is the final evolution of Omanyte, evolving from Omanyte at level 40. Omastar is believed to have become extinct after its heavy shell made it too slow to catch prey, or perhaps due to changes in its aquatic environment. In the games, it is revived from the Helix Fossil, one of the two fossils found in Mount Moon.
