Morpeko V Union

Morpeko is a unique dual-type Pokémon, Electric/Dark, introduced in Generation VIII with the release of Pokémon Sword and Shield. Known as the Two-Sided Pokémon, Morpeko is distinct for its ability to change its appearance and type based on its hunger levels, a phenomenon called "Full Belly Mode" and "Hangry Mode." In Full Belly Mode, it has a cheerful yellow and brown coloration, reflecting its Electric typing. When it enters Hangry Mode, due to prolonged hunger, its fur darkens, and its expression becomes more irritable, emphasizing its Dark typing. Morpeko does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon, making it a standalone creature. Its diet primarily consists of berries, which it carries around in its cheek pouches. If it doesn't eat frequently, it becomes stressed and aggressive. In the Galar region, Morpeko gained significant cultural recognition through Marnie, a popular Gym Challenger and rival in the games and anime, who has a Morpeko as her signature Pokémon. Its quirky personality and unique mechanic make it a memorable addition to the Pokémon world, often portrayed as a mischievous but endearing companion.
