Minior

Minior is a Rock/Flying type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, first appearing in the Alola region. Known as the Meteor Pokémon, Minior’s unique physiology consists of an outer shell that protects a core of varying colors. When its shell is broken, Minior reveals its true form, which is much lighter and more vibrant. This transformation is a key aspect of its biology, as its core’s color depends on the materials it consumed while in space. Minior typically lives in the ozone layer, absorbing dust and debris to form its shell. It’s a solitary Pokémon, often seen falling to Earth like meteors, sometimes in large numbers, which has led to local legends and observances in the Alola region. In the core series games, Minior has a unique ability called Shields Down, which changes its form and stats when its HP drops below half, reflecting its shell-breaking mechanic. It does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon, making it a standalone entity with a distinct life cycle. Its presence in the anime often highlights its celestial origins and the wonder it inspires in human characters.
