Lombre is a mischievous Water/Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, evolving from Lotad and further into Ludicolo. Often found in ponds and rivers with clean water, Lombre is known for its playful yet sometimes prankish nature. Its body is covered in a slick, moss-like substance, and it wears a broad, lily pad-like hat that helps it blend into its aquatic environment. Lombre is a nocturnal Pokémon, often emerging from the water at dusk to search for food, which primarily consists of algae and small aquatic insects. It is also known to occasionally sneak into human settlements to steal food, much to the amusement or annoyance of the locals. In the anime, Lombre often plays the role of a comic relief character, frequently getting into silly situations due to its laid-back demeanor and love for fun. Its evolution, Ludicolo, is famous for its energetic dances, and Lombre often shows hints of this rhythmic predisposition. Its unique dual typing gives it a fascinating set of resistances and weaknesses in the games, making it a versatile addition to many teams, particularly against Fire, Ground, Rock, and Water types, though it struggles against Flying, Poison, and Bug types.
