Emolga is an adorable Electric/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, making its debut in the Unova region. Known as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon, Emolga is a small, rodent-like creature with white fur, black markings, and yellow wing-like membranes that allow it to glide through the air. Its cheeks contain electric sacs, much like its famous counterpart Pikachu, which it uses to generate electricity. Emolga is often depicted as playful and mischievous, frequently seen in groups or soaring through forest canopies. Its diet primarily consists of berries and nuts, which it gathers from trees. In the Pokémon anime, Emolga gained significant popularity through Iris’s Emolga, which was known for its cute demeanor but also its tendency to be a bit lazy and use Attract to get its way. Despite its small size, Emolga plays a vital role in its ecosystem, helping to pollinate plants and disperse seeds as it glides from tree to tree. It does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon, making it a standalone species. Its unique type combination gives it resistances to Fighting, Flying, Steel, and Grass types, while being weak to Rock and Ice.
