Emolga is an Electric/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, native to the Unova region. Known as the Sky Squirrel Pokémon, Emolga resembles a flying squirrel with large, expressive eyes and black fur, accented with yellow markings and white underparts. Its most distinctive features are its yellow cheek pouches, which store electricity, and its patagia, the membranes that allow it to glide through the air. Emolga is a basic Pokémon and does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon. In the wild, Emolga are often found in forests, gliding from tree to tree, occasionally descending to forage for berries and nuts. They are generally social creatures, often seen in groups, and are known for their playful and sometimes mischievous nature. Emolga’s Electric typing gives it a natural advantage against Water and Flying types, while its Flying typing makes it resistant to Fighting and Grass attacks. It has been a recurring character in the Pokémon anime, most notably as Iris’s Pokémon in Pokémon the Series: Black & White, where its charming yet sometimes lazy personality endeared it to many fans. Its design, combining cuteness with mobility, makes it a popular choice among trainers and a memorable addition to the Pokémon world.
