Onix

Onix, the Rock Snake Pokémon, is a colossal creature first introduced in Generation I. Onix primarily inhabits caves and mountainous regions, where it can burrow through solid rock at incredible speeds, creating vast tunnel networks. Its diet consists mainly of earth and rocks, which it grinds down to extract nutrients, further hardening its body in the process. In the anime, Onix famously served as Brock's signature Pokémon, showcasing its power and resilience in countless Gym battles. Its evolution line begins with Onix, which then evolves into Steelix when traded holding a Metal Coat. As a Rock/Ground type, Onix is notably vulnerable to Water and Grass-type attacks, but boasts resistance to Fire, Electric, Poison, and Flying types.
