Ferroseed

Ferroseed is a dual Grass/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, making its debut in the Unova region. Known as the Thorn Seed Pokémon, it is characterized by its spherical body covered in sharp, green spikes, which it uses for both defense and propulsion. Ferroseed typically inhabits caves and dark, damp environments, attaching itself to cave ceilings and walls to absorb nutrients from minerals in the rock. Its diet primarily consists of these minerals, which it extracts using its metallic thorns. When threatened, Ferroseed can detach itself and roll away, or launch a barrage of spikes at its attackers. It evolves into Ferrothorn starting at level 40. In the Pokémon games, Ferroseed and its evolution are notable for their high defensive stats, making them formidable tanks in competitive play. They are also unique in their typing, providing a strong defensive presence against many common attacking types. Ferroseed's design reflects its role as a sturdy, mineral-absorbing plant, blending organic and inorganic elements. Its presence in the anime often highlights its defensive capabilities and its somewhat reclusive nature.
