Whiscash, the Whiskers Pokémon, is a dual Water/Ground-type introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Barboach starting at Level 30. Their diet primarily consists of smaller aquatic Pokémon, insects, and plant matter, which they locate using their highly sensitive barbels, resembling whiskers. Whiscash are known for their territorial nature and their ability to cause localized earthquakes by thrashing their tails, a behavior that has earned them a reputation for being quite formidable despite their often placid appearance. In the Pokémon games, Whiscash is notable for its unique type combination, which gives it a powerful immunity to Electric-type attacks but a crippling quadruple weakness to Grass-type moves. It has also made appearances in the Pokémon anime, often depicted as a powerful and sometimes mischievous force of nature in its aquatic domain, further cementing its role in the broader Pokémon universe.
