Unown are enigmatic Psychic-type Pokémon first introduced in Generation II with the release of Pokémon Gold and Silver. They are unique in that their forms resemble the 26 letters of the Latin alphabet, as well as an exclamation mark and a question mark, totaling 28 distinct variations. These ancient Pokémon are believed to reside in a different dimension, occasionally appearing in our world, often around ruins or places with strong psychic energy. In the games, Unown typically only know the move "Hidden Power," which changes its type and power depending on the individual Unown's IVs.
