Tyrunt is a Rock/Dragon type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. Known as the Royal Heir Pokémon, it is a prehistoric creature revived from a Jaw Fossil. Its appearance is reminiscent of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, characterized by its powerful jaws and aggressive demeanor. Tyrunt lived 100 million years ago, in a time when it was said to be the strongest of all Pokémon. It evolves into Tyrantrum when leveled up during the day, starting from level 39. In the games, Tyrunt is obtained by choosing the Jaw Fossil from a scientist in Glittering Cave. Its diet primarily consists of meat, reflecting its predatory nature. Tyrunt's behavior is often described as wild and temperamental; if it doesn't like something, it throws a tantrum and runs wild, a trait highlighted in its card's flavor text. Its typing gives it advantages against Fire, Ice, Flying, and Bug types, but makes it vulnerable to Fighting, Ground, Steel, Ice, Dragon, and Fairy moves.
