Turtwig

Turtwig, the Tiny Leaf Pokémon, is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is one of the three starter Pokémon from the Sinnoh region, alongside Chimchar and Piplup. Turtwig is known for the small sapling that grows on its head, which it uses to perform photosynthesis, absorbing sunlight to generate energy. Its shell, made from hardened soil, becomes more robust when it drinks water, providing it with excellent defense. Turtwig is typically found near bodies of water, such as lakes, where it can easily access the water it needs to strengthen its shell and maintain its health. As it evolves, Turtwig grows into Grotle and then into the majestic Torterra, a Grass/Ground-type Pokémon that carries a small ecosystem on its back. In the Pokémon anime, Ash Ketchum catches a Turtwig in the Diamond and Pearl series, which becomes a loyal and powerful member of his team.
