Trapinch, the Ant Pit Pokémon, is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, hailing from the arid Hoenn region. Known for its deceptively small size and massive jaws, Trapinch digs conical pits in the desert sands, patiently waiting at the bottom for unsuspecting prey to tumble in. Its diet primarily consists of smaller Pokémon and insects that fall into its traps. Despite its intimidating jaws, which are strong enough to crush boulders, Trapinch is largely immobile once it has settled into its pit, relying entirely on its cunning and the natural terrain to secure its meals. It evolves into Vibrava at level 35, which then evolves into the majestic Flygon at level 45, making it the first stage of a powerful three-stage evolution line. In the games, Trapinch is often found in desert areas, such as the Desert Underpass in Hoenn, and is valued for its high Attack stat.
