Torchic

Torchic, the Chick Pokémon, is a beloved Fire-type starter introduced in Generation III with the Hoenn region. It evolves into Combusken at level 16 and then into Blaziken at level 36, a powerful Fire/Fighting-type Pokémon. Torchic is known for its small size and its ability to breathe small flames, which it uses for self-defense and to keep itself warm. Its internal flame sac never goes out, even in the rain, and it can be quite warm to the touch. Torchic often prefers to stay close to its trainer, following them with short, hopping steps. In the wild, Torchic typically lives in warm, dry climates, feasting on berries and small insects. Its endearing appearance and fiery spirit quickly made it a fan favorite, playing a significant role in the Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald video games, as well as the accompanying anime series where Ash Ketchum's rival, May, chose Torchic as her starter. Its evolution, Blaziken, is also a popular choice in competitive play due to its strong offensive capabilities.
