Togedemaru is a dual Electric/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, native to the Alola region. Known as the Roly-Poly Pokémon, its spherical body is covered in spiny fur, which it can flatten or extend. Togedemaru often rolls into a ball, especially when startled, and can generate powerful electric charges. Its long, needle-like hairs on its back act as lightning rods, attracting electricity that it then stores in an electric sac within its body. This stored energy is crucial for its various electric attacks. Togedemaru is a relatively small Pokémon, typically found in grassy areas or near power plants, where it can easily gather electricity. It is a solitary creature but occasionally gathers in small groups to share energy or play. In the anime, it is a prominent companion to Sophocles, showcasing its playful and affectionate nature. It does not evolve from or into any other Pokémon, making it a standalone species. Its unique typing gives it resistances to several common types, while also having a few notable weaknesses.
