Their primary goal is to use the power of the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas or Yveltal to activate the ultimate weapon, thereby creating a "beautiful world" by destroying all life not deemed worthy. They are often encountered in pairs or small groups, acting as obstacles to the player's progress and demonstrating fierce loyalty, or at least obedience, to their leader, Lysandre.
