Suicune and Entei are two of the three Legendary beasts resurrected by Ho-Oh after the burning of the Brass Tower, originating from the Johto region, which was introduced in Generation II of the Pokémon games. Suicune, known as the Aurora Pokémon, is a Water-type, said to embody the compassion of a pure spring of water and to travel across the land purifying polluted water. It is often depicted as a graceful, swift creature that appears where water is clean. Entei, the Volcano Pokémon, is a Fire-type, born from the eruption of a volcano. It is said that a new Entei is born every time a new volcano appears. Both are part of a trio with Raikou, sharing a tragic origin story and a life of wandering the world. They do not evolve from or into any other Pokémon. In the games, they are typically elusive, roaming Pokémon, challenging players to track them down. In the anime, they have had prominent roles, particularly Suicune in "Pokémon 4Ever" and Entei in "Spell of the Unown."
