Its natural habitat is deep underground, where it burrows through solid rock and magma, often found in caves and mines. Steelix’s diet consists primarily of minerals and metals, which it consumes to further harden its already formidable body. In the games and anime, Steelix is often portrayed as a powerful and resilient Pokémon, a testament to its incredible defensive capabilities. For example, Brock's Steelix in the anime showcases its unwavering resolve in battles. Its Steel/Ground typing gives it a unique set of resistances and weaknesses, being strong against many types but vulnerable to Fire, Water, Fighting, and Ground moves.
