Spearow

Spearow is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I, making its debut alongside the original 151 Pokémon in the Kanto region. It is the pre-evolution of Fearow, evolving at level 20. Spearow is known for its aggressive and territorial nature, often found in open fields, forests, and mountainous areas. Its diet primarily consists of insects and small invertebrates, which it skillfully hunts using its sharp beak. In the Pokémon games, Spearow is a common early-game encounter, providing players with an accessible Flying-type option. In the anime, Spearow famously attacked Ash and Pikachu in the very first episode, establishing a memorable rivalry that continued with Fearow. This initial encounter highlighted Spearow's fierce disposition and set a precedent for the challenges Ash would face.
