It is the mascot of Pokémon Sun and evolves from Cosmoem, which itself evolves from Cosmog. Solgaleo is revered as an emissary of the sun, and its body is said to hold vast amounts of energy. In the Alola region, it is worshipped as the "beast that devours the sun," reflecting its ability to absorb light and convert it into energy. Solgaleo plays a crucial role in the games' lore, being instrumental in preventing the Ultra Beasts from causing widespread destruction by opening Ultra Wormholes. Its signature ability, Full Metal Body, prevents its stats from being lowered, making it a formidable opponent. Solgaleo's design evokes a majestic lion, with a large, white body and a radiant mane that glows intensely when it uses its powers. Its presence in the anime, particularly alongside Ash, further cemented its iconic status, showcasing its strength and its connection to the Ultra Beasts and the Ultra Wormholes.
