Slakoth is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, hailing from the Hoenn region. Known as the "Lazy Pokémon," its Pokédex entries consistently emphasize its extremely laid-back and sluggish nature. Slakoth spends most of its day sleeping, moving only about a yard a day, and its heart beats just once a minute. It feeds on three leaves a day, which is just enough to sustain its minimal energy expenditure. This behavior is a core aspect of its character and is reflected in its signature ability in the video games, Truant, which prevents it from attacking on consecutive turns. Slakoth evolves into Vigoroth at level 18, which then evolves into Slaking at level 36. Its evolution line is unique in that Vigoroth is incredibly energetic, a stark contrast to both Slakoth and Slaking, which are known for their extreme lethargy. Slakoth's type matchups are straightforward, being weak only to Fighting-type attacks and resistant to none.
