Shelgon

Shelgon, the Endurance Pokémon, is a Dragon-type introduced in Generation III. It evolves from Bagon at level 30 and then into Salamence at level 50. Shelgon is known for its incredibly hard, bone-like shell that covers its entire body, which it develops to protect itself while its cells rearrange in preparation for evolution into Salamence. This shell is so durable that it can withstand almost any attack, and Shelgon is often depicted retreating into caves to undergo its evolutionary process in safety. Its diet is largely unknown, but like its pre-evolution Bagon, it likely consumes plant matter or small insects. In the games, Shelgon is a powerful defensive Pokémon, able to absorb hits while preparing to unleash its own attacks. In the anime, it has appeared in various episodes, often showcasing its resilience and the anticipation of its powerful final evolution.
