Rhyhorn

Rhyhorn, the Spikes Pokémon, is a Ground/Rock type creature introduced in Generation I. It is known for its thick, armor-like hide and a single horn on its snout. Rhyhorn primarily inhabits rocky mountainous regions and caves, often found charging headlong through obstacles with its powerful horn. Its diet consists mainly of rocks and minerals, which contribute to the hardening of its durable body. Despite its seemingly aggressive nature, Rhyhorn is often depicted as somewhat dim-witted but incredibly resilient. It evolves into Rhydon, and later, with a Protector item during a trade, into Rhyperior. In the games, Rhyhorn is a formidable early-game Pokémon with high Attack and Defense stats, making it a reliable choice for many trainers. Its type combination gives it resistances to Fire, Electric, Flying, and Poison, but also significant weaknesses to Water, Grass, Ice, Fighting, and Ground. Rhyhorn has made numerous appearances in the Pokémon anime, often portrayed as a powerful yet sometimes clumsy companion. Culturally, Rhyhorn embodies raw strength and endurance, a classic example of a sturdy, tank-like Pokémon from the franchise's origins.
