Zygarde is a legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation VI, first appearing in the Kalos region. It is a dual-type Dragon/Ground Pokémon and is unique in that it exists in several different Formes, each with a varying percentage of its total cells. The 10% Forme, as depicted on this card, resembles a canine, while the 50% Forme looks like a serpent-like creature. Its ultimate manifestation, the Complete Forme, is a towering humanoid. Zygarde's primary role is to maintain the ecosystem's balance, intervening when that balance is threatened. Its cells are scattered across the region, and when they gather, Zygarde can assume different forms. In the anime, Zygarde cells and cores, particularly Squishy (a Zygarde Core), played a significant role in the XYZ series, often assisting Ash and his friends. Zygarde has no evolutionary line, existing as a standalone legendary. Its Dragon/Ground typing gives it resistances to Fire, Poison, and Rock, and it is immune to Electric attacks, but it is vulnerable to Ice, Dragon, and Fairy types.
