Plume Fossil

Plume Fossil is an Item card from the Pokémon Trading Card Game, representing the ancient remains of Archen, a dual-type Rock/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation V. Archen is known as the First Bird Pokémon, and its Pokédex entries often highlight its inability to fly very well despite having wings, needing a running start to take off. It is the pre-evolution of Archeops, another Rock/Flying type. Archen and Archeops are unique in that they are the only fossil Pokémon with a Flying typing. They are revived from Plume Fossils, which are typically found in the Desert Resort area of the Unova region in the main series games. Archen's diet in the wild is believed to consist of berries and small insects, and its behavior is characterized by its playful and curious nature, often seen chasing after prey or exploring its surroundings. In the anime, Archen and Archeops have made appearances, showcasing their prehistoric charm and unique abilities. Their introduction brought a new dynamic to the fossil Pokémon lineage, moving away from the traditional Rock/Water or Rock/Ground types and adding a much-needed aerial element.
