Pikachu, the Electric-type Mouse Pokémon, is arguably the most recognizable creature in the entire Pokémon franchise. Introduced in Generation I alongside the original 150 Pokémon, Pikachu quickly rose to global fame as Ash Ketchum's loyal companion in the anime series. Its iconic design, featuring bright yellow fur, red cheek pouches that generate electricity, and a lightning bolt-shaped tail, has made it a cultural icon far beyond the realm of video games and trading cards. In the wild, Pikachu are typically found in forests and near sources of electricity. They are known to gather in groups, communicate with each other using electric charges, and store electricity in their cheek pouches, releasing it when threatened or excited. As a basic Pokémon, Pikachu evolves from Pichu (introduced in Generation II) when leveled up with high friendship, and then evolves into Raichu when exposed to a Thunder Stone. Its Electric typing gives it a strong advantage against Flying and Water types, while being vulnerable to Ground-type attacks.
