Pansear is a playful Fire-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, hailing from the Unova region. It is known as the High Temp Pokémon and is often found in volcanic areas or near hot springs, where it can easily forage for its preferred diet of berries. Pansear is characterized by its bright red fur, large yellow-lined ears, and a distinctive fiery tuft on its head which it uses to roast berries before eating them. This intelligent Pokémon is also noted for its helpful nature, often assisting people in various ways. It evolves into Simisear when exposed to a Fire Stone. In the games, Pansear is one of the elemental monkeys given to the player by Fennel's assistant if the player chose the Water-type starter Oshawott, providing a type advantage against the first gym leader, Cilan. In the anime, Cilan, one of Ash's companions, owns a Pansear that evolves into Simisear, showcasing its personality and battle prowess.
