Palossand is a Ghost/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, native to the Alola region. It is the evolved form of Sandygast, which itself evolves from a pile of sand possessed by a vengeful spirit. Palossand appears as a large, sentient sandcastle with a red shovel stuck in its head, often seen on beaches. Its unique physiology allows it to absorb the life force of small Pokémon, drying them out and adding their remains to its sandy body, making it grow larger and stronger.
