Unlike its Kanto counterpart which is a pure Normal type, Paldean Tauros boasts three distinct forms, each with an additional typing: Combat Breed (Fighting), Blaze Breed (Fighting/Fire), and Aqua Breed (Fighting/Water). The card in question depicts the Blaze Breed. This variant is characterized by its fiery temperament and the hot air it snorts from its nostrils, a direct adaptation to the arid environments it inhabits in Paldea. Its three intertwined tails are another distinguishing feature, hinting at its unique fighting style. In the games, Paldean Tauros is known for its aggressive nature and powerful physical attacks, often found charging at anything it perceives as a threat. Its role in the Paldean ecosystem is that of a dominant herbivore, though its territorial behavior can make it a formidable opponent. Type matchups for the Blaze Breed mean it is strong against Grass, Ice, Bug, and Steel types due to its Fire typing, and Normal, Ice, Rock, Dark, and Steel due to its Fighting typing, but vulnerable to Water, Ground, and Psychic attacks.
