Numel is a Fire/Ground type Pokémon introduced in Generation III, hailing from the Hoenn region. It is known as the Numb Pokémon, characterized by its docile and somewhat dim-witted nature. Numel's body is largely composed of magma, which can cool and solidify if it becomes too cold, causing it to slow down or even stop moving. This unique physiology makes it well-adapted to volcanic environments, where it can be found grazing on volcanic ash or soaking in hot springs. It evolves into Camerupt, a more powerful Fire/Ground type, at level 33. In the games, Numel is often encountered in areas like Fiery Path, and its dual typing gives it interesting matchups, being strong against Grass, Ice, Bug, and Steel types, but notably weak to Water types. In the anime, Numel often appears as a gentle creature, sometimes causing comical situations due to its slow reactions or its habit of inadvertently spewing magma.
