Mr. Mime evolves from Mime Jr. when leveled up while knowing Mimic, and it does not have further evolutions. In the games, it is often found in the Kanto and Johto regions, and its unique typing gives it an interesting set of type matchups, being weak to Ghost and Steel but resistant to Fighting and Psychic, and immune to Dragon. In the anime, Mr. Mime gained significant cultural recognition as Ash's mom, Delia Ketchum, owns a Mr. Mime who often helps around the house, showcasing its domestic and helpful side, contrasting with its battle-ready abilities. This portrayal cemented its place as a beloved and quirky Pokémon in the franchise's history.
