Joltik is a tiny, adorable Electric/Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V, hailing from the Unova region. Known as the "Attaching Pokémon," Joltik are incredibly small, often overlooked by larger creatures, and survive by latching onto larger Pokémon or even humans to siphon static electricity from them. They are not capable of generating their own electricity, making this parasitic behavior essential for their survival. Joltik typically inhabit caves or urban areas where they can easily find sources of static electricity. Their diet primarily consists of this electrical energy, which they absorb through specialized hairs on their bodies. Despite their small size, they are quite resilient and can deliver a surprising jolt if threatened. Joltik evolves into Galvantula, another Electric/Bug type, at level 36. In the games, Joltik often appears in early routes and caves, providing players with a unique dual-type option. In the anime, they are often depicted as mischievous but ultimately harmless creatures, sometimes seen in large groups. Their unique method of sustenance and their endearing appearance have made them a fan favorite, representing the ingenuity and diversity of the Pokémon world.
